Jody O'Neil is an artist and a Sister of Providence. She works in the Roethele Studio/Gallery, located at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, in rural, south central Indiana near Terre Haute. Jody values the opportunity to live and work close to nature in an environment rooted in spiritual values and eco-justice.

Jody holds degrees in art from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., and Religious Studies from Mundelein College, Chicago. She is an experienced painter. Jody specializes in both oil and acrylic media. Her interests also include, drawing, watermedia collage, sculpture, photography, leaded glass and liturgical design. In addition to her studio art Jody also guides art retreats for creative people.

Jody views artistic expression as a spiritual energy that emerges from the deepest realms of the soul. This energy, colored with line and form, both initiates a response and responds to the movement of creation and Creator.
